A life story without me
Thinking about what and how to write a letter to her parents, Paulina searched for the exact words that could express what she felt at that moment, it was only her, her paper and pencil locked in her room that many memories lived returned to her mind every time that she saw a picture or simply any object that in her had a story to tell for herself since for others you would not have any sense. It was a 30 of August, the minutes passed and each time she weighed more to start writing her letter, the memories no longer became just passengers but constant leaving every moment that was more insecure to continue with her desire, not a single word weighed more that those happy moments that together had passed with her parents although she always longed to have a brother with whom to share those moments in which she needed someone to talk about so many things she could not tell her parents either because of fear or simply fact that she needed someone contemporary with her who could understand her, advise her and make decisions together.
Those memories, images, thoughts and other things made Paulina, without thinking, gradually releasing from her own fist the pencil that never wrote a single letter, isolating herself from the present and from what she did only to go deeper into that past that several times I did not let him advance. Renouncing everything, she went to a place where she could be and no one else, only with herself and her story, only then could decide the best way to do in those moments of great tension that was crossing but in the background they were going to help her become what she has always wanted, to be a great doctor but especially a great person. Paulina went to a small field on the outskirts of Quito where I look for a place to relax and relive all that past that attracted her, when she found that place began to contemplate the sky, the mountains and everything around her feeling like the noise of the wind brushed against her skin and as the air entered her lungs slowly, it was when, with great nostalgia, she remembered a joyful moment, a little complicated in her life, this was when she was 12 years old and she was in her first year of school Sta. Maria Mazzarello, had a very good childhood together with her parents since to be an only daughter all the attention was directed towards her but during her childhood she felt the lack of something she could not describe until this very moment when she entered another stage of her life, a complicated stage.
This stage of her life was marked by new things she was discovering and she needed someone to share these moments but her only problem was to be an only child, although she had a great relationship with her friends, cousins, uncles and other relatives, she needed something even more than a friend, someone he could trust without hesitating something like a brother, so she asked her parents to have a brother, but they could explain that they could not have it and that this is not going to change. Disappointed with her wishes and something sad in those days was when she found Emilia, a girl of her age who since she met her had a very strong connection and fit very well with each other with things that unite them as the same fact that the two were single daughters, since then Emilia would be her best friend thereafter.
Although her memory filled him with many emotions this helped him to clarify her problems more but after this came to her mind other memories a little more clear, these were about her life in the stage of adolescence where it was one of the most complicated stages that she had to live because she had constant problems with her family not so much with her mother but if with her father it was the straight and hard image that he had to follow but that on several occasions she was not involved in these ideas and always argued about which is right or wrong in the destiny of your life. In the middle of this memory she remembered a conversation that one day had with her best friend Emilia who next to her mother were the people in which she most relies; this conversation was about a confusing situation that happened in her life specifically of dreams that Paulina had constantly but did not know how to interpret them, in these dreams she was seen as part of another family where she had a brother named Miguel, was especially what she wanted when she was younger but in these dreams she was not comfortable with the life she was carrying so they came to a conclusion with Emilia that maybe being single daughters will not always be bad at all and having a sibling is important but It is not like that no matter how much they could follow each one forward with their projects and lifestyles.
All these memories are of the stage of 12 to 18 years that Paulina had to cross, already by that time she was already 22 years old and it is when she makes the most important decision of her life, which she was able to decipher thanks to this day in which so many things happened.

Eventually when Paulina returned home her parents were waiting for her desperate to know nothing of her in a few hours, Carlos her father and Jenny her mother listened attentively to what she had to tell them which was an immense and great joy for them since Paulina had decided to continue with her medical career which she thought to leave in the middle of this but her attitude helped her to continue with her life project to later graduate from doctor and in a few years to become what she had most wanted.
