How to prepare for an interview
Preparing things first is always a good
option to be able to act better in situations that must be firm and secure,
which in an interview would ensure our good development leaving a good
impression. These four recommendations are very useful to prepare us when the
interview are close.
1.
Conduct basic interview research:
Before the interview, it is better to prepare yourself for certain data
that one can know that will serve you in a great way; this can be obtained by
making a call to the place for the interview, this first part should take
five-minute. The questions is:
Ø Who will you be talking to? Will you meet the manager you'd work for?
What are the interviewer's expectations?
Ø What's the dress code?
Ø Get directions to the office. Plan to leave early. Keep a phone number
to call if you get stuck in traffic.
Ø If you don't have a detailed job description, ask for one.
2. Learn about the company online:
In this part, we will do a search in the internet of the company to find
additional information to which we already knew, in this way we will obtain a
total vision of the place where we interviewed; this part of basic research
should take you about an hour. The questions to look for are:
Ø How big is the company in terms of annual sales or employees?
Ø What does the company say about its products or services?
Ø What recent news can you discuss?
3. Think of some stories:
In this step we can prepare ourselves to face certain questions that are
frequent in the interviews, one of them is to tell a story of us, where it is
better already to bring to mind some stories of achievements and objectives
that we have reached. It is best to talk about certain parts of our life that
demonstrate leadership, initiative and teamwork, which is what, will leave a
good image of us. This take the time that you need.
4. Pick your outfit, and go to bed early:
The best thing to finish this preparation is to leave everything
necessary for the interview in the previous night, and to have a good rest because
the next day start early, in this way to have no worries or complications in
our development before and during the interview.
